OUR MANDATE

The Warisan Agro-Aqua Trading Corporation (WAATC) shall serve as another official business and economic arm of the League of Bangsamoro Organizations (LBO), mandated to promote sustainable agro-aqua industry development, halal trade, and inclusive economic growth in the Bangsamoro region and beyond. Specifically, WAATC is tasked to:

  1. Engage in Domestic and International Trade — Undertake import and export operations of agricultural, aquaculture, and halal-certified products to strengthen the Bangsamoro’s participation in regional and global markets.
  2. Support Agro-Aqua Industrial Development — Facilitate investments, joint ventures, and enterprise partnerships that enhance productivity, value-adding, and competitiveness of local farmers, fisherfolk, and cooperatives.
  3. Serve as the Economic Link of LBO — Function as the implementing business arm of the League of Bangsamoro Organizations (LBO) for socio-economic initiatives, livelihood projects, and private-sector collaborations.
  4. Promote Halal and Sustainable Trade Practices — Uphold Islamic principles in business operations and ensure compliance with halal standards and sustainable trade policies.
  5. Build Strategic Partnerships — Collaborate with government agencies, private investors, development institutions, and international partners to mobilize resources, technology, and market access for Bangsamoro products.
  6. Empower Bangsamoro Entrepreneurs — Provide capacity-building, market linkage, and enterprise development programs that uplift marginalized communities and promote self-reliance.
  7. Contribute to Regional Peace and Development — Utilize trade and enterprise as tools for economic empowerment, stability, and social transformation in post-conflict communities.

our OBJECTIVES

OBJECTIVES

WAATC's objectives are divided into primary and secondary purposes to guide corporate operations and strategic initiatives.

A. Primary

To engage in the importation, exportation, distribution, and trading of all kinds of halal agricultural and aquatic commodities, including inputs, raw materials, and finished products; and to undertake marketing, processing, warehousing, and other related agribusiness activities in accordance with the laws and regulations of the Republic of the Philippines and in compliance with international trade and halal standards.

B. Secondary

To actively participate in government and private sector programs that promote sustainable agriculture, food security, and halal trade; to establish strategic partnerships, joint ventures, or subsidiaries in agro-aqua and related industrial ventures; and to undertake training, consultancy, and research initiatives aimed at enhancing agricultural productivity and advancing trade development.
